{"id":253,"date":"2010-04-26T19:00:01","date_gmt":"2010-04-27T00:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rattreks.com\/blog\/?p=253"},"modified":"2010-04-26T19:00:01","modified_gmt":"2010-04-27T00:00:01","slug":"short-saturday-trip-4-17-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rattreks.com\/blog\/rattreks\/short-saturday-trip-4-17-2010.html","title":{"rendered":"Short Saturday Trip &#8211; 4-17-2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-indent: 2em;\">I went on a short Saturday afternoon drive down in the country and ended up in the Shelton Church \/\u00a0 Mission area and decided to check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/rattreks.com\/site_pics4\/trailhead2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">trail head<\/a> for the Bullen hollow\/Spruce Thicket\/Margerite falls <a href=\"http:\/\/rattreks.com\/site_pics4\/trailhead.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">trails<\/a>. I haven&#8217;t been there in many years and like everywhere else it too has undergone some changes. You can no longer drive in there but rather have to park at a new parking lot and walk past a new gate for about a half mile before you reach the <a href=\"http:\/\/rattreks.com\/site_pics4\/trailhead3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">intersection<\/a> of trails. They also no longer allow motorcycles on the Bullen Hollow trail (much to Tyler&#8217;s disappointment). Although we were only .7 miles from Margerite falls it was too late to start that trek but we did walk to the start of the trail and back for some much needed exercise.\u00a0 The bugs were already out and very annoying. We then drove on further to get a view of Viking mountain and Blackstack cliffs before heading home.
