Rocky Fork, Clear Branch – 9-12-2014

During my vacation week I was unable to do any hiking so I took a couple hours to take my son to Rocky Fork Creek to swim at the swimming hole there and get some pics of the falls there. I could not believe that it was September and I had not been swimming one time this year so I decided to take care of that while I was there in case I did not get another chance before years end. The water level was decent and as always, cold ! We swam for a few minutes at the main falls, I took some pics then moved down to the lower falls for some more pics.

There is a small falls to the left of these falls where a part of the creek is diverted over to that I find a great place to get photo’s:

Moving just below the falls is a larger falls that I like best of all:

We stopped at the lower Clear Branch Falls on the way home but there was not much water there and the sun was shining brightly so no good pics for that but it was really nice to get away from the house and soak ourselves in Nature if only for a short while.

When we left these falls I drove up Clear Branch Road and seen some turkeys on their way from Church:

We also stopped at the Visitor Center on I-26 where they have some pretty cool stuff inside:

It was a short but great time spent with my son and Nature. I hope to get out again before my vacation is over.
