Backbone Falls – 3-27-2010

To celebrate our 6th year anniversary, my girlfriend Linda and myself, along with my son Tyler,  went back to where we were nearly 6 years ago which is Damascus, Virginia. We stopped at Backbone falls for awhile to get some pics of the falls and the swimming holes in that area so I thought I would share them here.

We did the  Backbone Falls loop trail , and also the Backbone Rock loop trail up and over the  Natural Tunnel which was fun. It was a nice day to be out and enjoying this wonderful scenic area not to mention burning some calories.  I can’t wait for Trail Days coming in May.

That is a really cool place. I didn’t take the time to visit the falls last time I was up that way. I just stopped to walk across the rock to say I’d done it on the way back home from the Grindstaff monument. It was rainy and cold. Glad you guys did something cool for your special day:) Congrats
